Seasoned Logs

Seasoned Logs are dried naturally in the air and tend to burn with less energy or heat output than kiln dried logs. The flame given off a seasoned log when in a stove is noticeably smaller and will be slower to light.

Kiln dried logs also tend to burn at a higher temperature than seasoned logs making them the log of choice if you want to heat up a large space or are using them for an outdoor heater.

You will notice that there is quite a price difference between kiln dried logs and seasoned logs, the simple reason for this is that the kiln drying process is a more costly way of drying logs so is reflected in the price.
